I had the same issue as you. I had a chat with CSR and he had told me to do windows update, drivers update, vc++ update.
Today i did just that until no updates were left and the EA app started working.
I hope it works for you too after the update.

Same problem here. Everything up to date. When I try to launch the es app I get a grey window and after a while a message that it couldn't connect.

This is what worked for me just now:
* Uninstall the EA app.
* Go here and download the VC++ dists (2015, 2017, 2019, and 2022) for both X86 and X64:
https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/cpp/windows/latest-supported-vc-redist?view=msvc-170#visual-studio...
* Install those packages.
* Reboot
* Re-download EA app and install it.
And now it's working for me.
FWIW, the VC++ packages I had installed were 14.34.xxxxx where as the latest downloads are 14.36.xxxxx. I don't seem to see them as updates available in Windows Update, which is where they usually get updated I think.
Also, I first tried to install these newer VC++ packages without uninstalling the EA app but it didn't help. It wasn't until I reinstall it that it seemed to help.
