fort the last half hour ive been trying everything to get my EA app working so i can play on the pre release time for madden 24, which is already installed. i have run into an issue that just doesnt seem to have a working solution. im working on an entirely fresh install of windows 10 and i just do not understand holw the app has gone from working just fine yesterday to DOA when trying to start it today.
I have the same issue. I work in software and this is definitely an EA issue. I'm no longer able to login to either of my EA accounts via the EA launcher application on Windows 11, and it ends in a constant loope with the following option for troubleshooting:
Couldn't connect to servers
We ran into a problem, but a quick restart should fix it.
{RESTART APP}
Can confirm. A quick restart does not fix the issue, along with refreshing dns, refreshing network and reinstalling the application. What a * joke.

I've got the same issue. Choosing to restart doesn't help. Been like this for over 24hrs now.
No VPN, no firewall, I've tried different DNS servers. It was working for me one night and then not the next morning, and I don't recall any changes I would have made which would have caused this. The only thing I can think of is maybe a Windows update. I noticed in your dxdiag that you're on Windows 10, and so am I.
I tried the EA app on an older laptop of mine and after a few issues installing it, it seems to be working fine, so it doesn't appear to be an issue with my ISP or network devices.
I've been holding off an upgrade to Windows 11 - maybe I'll try that and see if it helps.

Okay I think mine is fixed now. Here is what I did:
* Uninstall the EA app.
* Go here and download the VC++ dists (2015, 2017, 2019, and 2022) for both X86 and X64:
https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/cpp/windows/latest-supported-vc-redist?view=msvc-170#visual-studio-2015-2017-2019-and-2022
* Install those packages.
* Reboot
* Re-download EA app and install it.
And now it's working for me.
FWIW, the VC++ packages I had installed were 14.34.xxxxx where as the latest downloads are 14.36.xxxxx. I don't seem to see them as updates available in Windows Update, which is where they usually get updated I think.
Also, I first tried to install these newer VC++ packages without uninstalling the EA app but it didn't help. It wasn't until I reinstall it that it seemed to help.- 2 years ago
tried this, im fully up to date with everything. just refuses to do anything.
