'Double-check connection' error on all games
I get the 'Double-check connection' error when trying to open any game (BF1, BF4, Apex, Titanfall 2 etc.)
This is annoying as I did try to contact support, no agent was able to help me, they closed the cases as' No fix available'. Really? Is this how a multi-million dollar company works? I pay for games and they can't seem to find the reason for the issue on their own app.
Multiple players have this issue, no certain fix exists for this. The thing that kills me most is the fact that everything worked perfectly until a week or so ago. I haven't changed anything to my computer in the meantime so it's clearly on their side. I am on wired interned connection and other games work fine on other platforms.
Things I've tried:
- Clear cache
- Repair games
- Run as administrator both the games or App
- Uninstall and reinstall app and games on same or different directories (also used Revo uninstaller to delete any file in the windows registry)
- Uninstalled everything and started the computer with minimal background processes and installing everything back again (as suggested by the live-chat agents)
- Even went as far as trying to install older versions of Origin with different settings I found online
- Looked on Reddit, EA Forums, Steam Discussions but no one seem to know the cause or the fix
- Tried every kind of troubleshooting I could find around on EA websites
- Updated Windows (Currently on latest version of W11 - could this be a compatibility issue?)
The issue still persists after many years of service for some users. If you encountered this and found a fix please leave a comment or even if you fixed the issue in some way please leave a comment to check if I can do the same even tho I've tried everything that I could find.
Are there any EA emplyees on these forums that are still active ?
