Summarize your bug Whenever I launch the EA App my Game Library does not load. The games all remain as black squares and the following message appears "Things are taking a little longer than usual to load up. Hang tight while we try to solve the problem." After hours of waiting nothing changes. I have attempted the following solution, but they did NOT resolve the problem: 1. Go to Task Manager, find "EA Background Service" and end the service then re-launch the EA App. 2. Go to the top left corner selected Help -> App Recovery -> Clear Cache 3. Uninstall and re-install the EA App. Currently I have no way of accessing the games I purchased from EA.

  • Personally, I believe the issue is related to Windows 11. I have attempted to turn off firewall rules and turn off windows defender, but still all the launchers I have issues with persist.

So EA and Microsoft figure it out!

In other news I have a solution that is likely not for everyone. I installed windows 10 in place of windows 11 and now everything works

These were the steps I took to complete this installation *WARNING: Proceed at your own risk, I am not a professional tech support. Please read through all steps before continuing*

    1. Identify Windows 11 Key for activation refence.
      • Press the Windows key and R keys simultaneously.
      • Type cmd in the run box dialogue you have summoned, and hit the enter key.
      • In the resulting cmd.exe window, type “wmic path softwareLicensingService get OA3xOriginalProductKey” without the quotation marks.
      • Take a picture or write down the key (ex. XXXXX - XXXXX - XXXXX - XXXXX - XXXXX)
    2. Download windows 10 installer
      • This is the direct download link (but you can Google "download windows 10"): https://go.microsoft.com/fwlink/?LinkId=691209
      • The file is called "MediaCreationTool22H2" after downloading it.
      • When you click on the file you will be prompted to accept license agreement
      • Then you are prompted to select "Upgrade this PC now" or "Create installation media"
      • I selected "Upgrade this PC now", unfortunately the install only allowed me to do a clean install which meant erasing all my files. This is where I do not think this solution is for everyone.
      • The rest of the install is straight forward an automatic.
    3. Verify window 10 activated after installation is complete
      • Confirm the key matches your original key (ex. XXXXX - XXXXX - XXXXX - XXXXX - XXXXX)
      • In my case the digital key was backward compatible with windows 10 and worked without issue. No further steps were required.

If you need to type in your key and activate Windows 10 I would suggest you google it. If your key is not backwards compatible you can always upgrade back to windows 11 no problem and use the key you captured in step 1.

I have read on some Microsoft forums that in order to activate Windows 10 you need to buy a Windows 10 license, but in most the licensing purchasing I have done the newest license is one version backward compatible.

I hope this helps a fellow gamer re-claim their library.
