EA app can't find Apex after I got it through Steam

Hello. I just downloaded Apex Legends from Steam and bumped into an issue where the cursor appears out on the screen. I discovered that I fix this only through the EA app.

However, even though my EA and Steam account are linked, EA app can't find Apex and wants to download it again. I changed the download direction to the same location where Steam Apex is, but it still can't detect the files.

What do I do to make my EA app stop treating the game as if it wasn't downloaded?
