EA App Crashing My PC's Wi-Fi

You've done a great job troubleshooting so far. Since the basics haven't worked, let's try a few more advanced steps. Please try these in order and see if any of them resolve the issue.

1. Adjust Power Management for your Wi-Fi Adapter
   Sometimes Windows tries to save power by turning off the Wi-Fi adapter, and games can sometimes trigger this incorrectly.

• Right-click the Start button and select Device Manager.
• Expand the Network adapters section.
• Right-click your Wi-Fi adapter and select Properties.
• Go to the Power Management tab.
• Uncheck the box that says "Allow the computer to turn off this device to save power" and click OK.
• Restart your computer and try launching a game.
  
  

2. Perform a Clean Boot
   This will help us determine if another program is interfering with the EA app or your games. A clean boot starts Windows with a minimal set of drivers and startup programs.

• Once in a clean boot environment, try running the EA app and a game to see if the issue still occurs.
  
  

3. Change your DNS Settings
   This can sometimes help with issues related to connecting to game servers.

• Search for "View Network Connections" in the Start Menu and open it.
• Right-click on your Wi-Fi connection and select Properties.
• Select Internet Protocol Version 4 (TCP/IPv4) and click Properties.
• Select "Use the following DNS server addresses:" and enter the following:
  • Preferred DNS server: 8.8.8.8
  • Alternate DNS server: 8.8.4.4
• Click OK, restart your computer, and test again.

1. EA app Error Reporter: In the EA app, click the menu icon (three horizontal lines) in the top-left corner, go to Help, and then EA Error Reporter. Run the tool and share the Report ID it gives you.
2. DxDiag Report:
   • Press the Windows Key + R.
   • Type DxDiag and press Enter.
   • Wait for the green bar to finish loading, then click Save All Information. Save the file to your desktop.
3. MSInfo Report:
   • Press the Windows Key + R.
   • Type msinfo32 and press Enter.
   • In the new window, click File > Save. Save the file to your desktop.
