When did this happen? (dd.mm.yy hh:mm) Ever since January First 2023
Summarize your bug Since the start of the year I cannot open the EA app. I have tried the following: Uninstalling, Reinstalling (no change, also, the EA uninstaller is no longer responding now) Clearing cache (EA App Recovery does not respond, so cannot actually clear cache) Enabling all supported languages De-selecting "Keep me logged in" is not an option, as no log-in window opens. I have reset my password in browser as I was hoping maybe I'd get to the log in window next time I try opening the app, but no change.
How often does the bug occur? Every time (100%)
Steps: How can we find the bug ourselves? I am not sure what this "we" refers to.
What happens when the bug occurs? First, I get error window 1: Simply put, there was an error Sorry, an unresolvable error occurred. Please restart the app. Then I click on Restart App and either nothing happens or error window 2 appears: Something went haywire Background services are not responding. Please hold while we kick off the update manually. Then I click Update A new black window opens which says "App already up to date. Exiting).
What do you expect to see? That the gd app will open when I launch it.
I have spent approximately 3 hours now trying to find a way to get help, browsing Answers HQ entries, trying suggested solutions that worked for other users, trying to de- and reinstall the app, and rebooting my PC. I am fed up. Does anyone have any idea what else I could try, or how on earth I can reach anyone at EA to get help with this?
I know there are already dozens of entries like this out there, but none of the answers to those helped with my issue, so sorry for spamming.
