I tried all the suggestions/tutorials on these forums and nothing worked, so I decided to find out what my error code meant and it eventually led me to this Microsoft troubleshooter: Fix problems that block programs from being installed or removed - Microsoft Support all you do is run it, select the problem your having which in your case you can't install something, so click install, then a menu of programs will show, select the EA App from the menu and just follow the instructions. After it is done it will ask if it fixed the problem, leave this open and now try install the EA App, it should install as normal, it did for me.
