EA App Download speeds are STILL unbearable

I know this is an age old topic but this is the BIGGEST downfall of this app by a country mile.

I am currently in the process of trying to download a game on EA App via EA play Pro. 
The current speed is at 2MB/s which is around 17Mbps, my actual download speed from my provider is 1652Mbps which is almost 100x that of the app. 

Having read through the forum it seems that some admins are suggesting that it is a problem on the user end switching between blaming the hardware, the user not understanding connection conversion, even as far as opening up potential security risks to achieve higher speeds which is insanity to me that this is being suggested by members of a team from a Triple A developer. 

Is there a point where EA are actually going to address the issue or actually admit to server side speed restrictions ? There isn't a world where any of us should be sat here with 100x LESS speed in your software than we are getting to our devices AND through other apps such as steam.
