For some reason mine was fixed when I realized my clock and date was wrong. Syncing it fixed it
Tuve el mismo problema, un día sin ningún cambio o actualización en particular ya no podía ejecutar la EA app, es decir, intentaba iniciarla y simplemente no funcionaba. Probé ejecutando EA Error Reporter y ahí recién me apareció el mensaje: "Los servicios en segundo plano han fallado" Nos hemos topado con un problema irresoluble. Reiniciar la aplicación debería funcionar. Código de error: EC:104. No obstante intentaba reiniciarla y no sucedía nada, ni siquiera en el administrador de tareas se ejecutaba nada relacionado a la EA app. Intenté ejecutar el EA App Installer y me aparecieron dos opciones "abrir app" (que no funcionó) y "reparar" que comenzó a ejecutar unas descargas y en 5 minutos finalmente abrió EA App. Aparentemente eso me ha funcionado ahora mismo. Solo quería jugar Los Sims, juego al que le he invertido dinero y muchas horas. Estuve con este problema desde aproximadamente el 10 de febrero (hoy es 2 de marzo). Me parece una falta de respeto al consumidor que con EA y Los Sims siempre hayan problemas para poder jugar.
De todos modos, espero a alguien le sirva lo que yo intenté.

I just wanted to play The Sims, a game that I have invested money and many hours into. I've been having this problem since about February 10th (today is March 2nd). It seems disrespectful to the consumer that with EA and The Sims there are always problems being able to play.
