Summarize your bug EA app throws extremely vague error "Something went wrong - There is an issue with your account" when trying to log in with "Keep me signed in" enabled.
How often does the bug occur? Every time (100%)
Steps: How can we find the bug ourselves? -Open EA app -Enter login credentials as usual
What happens when the bug occurs? EA app throws extremely vague error "Something went wrong - There is an issue with your account" and throws you back to the login screen.
What do you expect to see? A robust login system... which EA app doesn't clearly have.
Workaround is to untick "Keep me signed in" and log in as normally.
- 3 years ago@Jaxmaru Thanks man for the info. Have the same issue and unticking the box did the job!

Could someone tell me where in the app the "Keep me signed in" option is? I cannot find it and googling just yields thousands of threads about this option not working
EDIT: It is an option when you sign in. So if you are already signed in, you will not see it. You'll have to reconnect to the internet to be able to play. It's very dumb, since the issue is you cannot login due to already being logged in.

it doesnt work however i unstick that keep me signed in button. its been broken more than 4 hours now..

4 hours? Been about 4 months for me. I also love how I can't play games I paid money for unless I have the EA app. Who doesn't love being forced to do something you didn't want after paying money?

It's never worked for me. Pretty upset that I can't just play games without being on the internet....
- 3 years ago@Jaxmaru how to fix it?

I have the same issue and I have opened a support case its time EA got off its * and fixed this issue.
how many times do they need to be told its a problem ?

I was having this problem on my new laptop as well. Then I remembered that Windows fast start up breaks a lot of stuff. I turned that off and fixed this issue for me. Hope that helps.

Windows 11 here. stupid app won’t stay logged in whether I check the box, uncheck the box, use an emailed code, anyhing.

have pretty much the same thing, whenever I try and press "keep me signed in" after I typed my password in - it always loads the origin from the start meanings have to type in the password all over again. and then for example if I close sims - stop playing, and open the app again - it will ask em to type in the password again, really annoying, I'm sure I'm not the only one with this kind of problem.. really needs help with that, although, I don't really have a problem with typing the password, but it keeps happening constantly - it would've been much much better if I just didn't have to do that EACH AND SINGLE time I try to play the game. does anyone know how to solve this..? maybe there's a different app other than origin that I can download so that it works betters?

Same happen for me. Rei stall does not help. Adjust permissions on files does not help eiver. Conclusion: ea soft is peace of c..p and devs should take cources to improve their skills.

Reinstalling the EA App as administrator solved my issue.

Go to C:\Program Files\Electronic Arts in Windows File Explorer.
Right-click the EA Desktop folder, select Properties.
There is a "-" symbol over the Read-Only checkbox, uncheck this, Apply and click Continue when prompted for Admin actions.
Be sure to log in after these actions are completed
It seemed to me like it was having trouble saving the settings and I think the Read-Only file mode settings were causing the problem. Don't know why EA installed it like this as default. Most likely something wrong with their install package configuration.
