I have had this exact same problem no matter what I do or change.
Here is everything I have done with my PC since updating to the terrible EA app.
- Reinstalled windows from ssd to nvme
- put all my games from HDD onto gaming nvme
- removed and upgraded an HDD
- played hundreds of hours on other gaming platforms that can remember my login.
This problem has been happening since origin and there is still no sign of a permanent fix for it so can someone get it right somewhere?
Can give a great example of this was going to play some need for speed hot pursuit remastered using the ea app and saw that it needed me to login again I had just downloaded the game that day but went to play other games and went back play it not even a pc restart later and oh look needs login so I fired up forza instead and just went screw it and turned ea app off.
This works for me. Copy paste from forum.
Have a Microsoft account with EA Pass/Xbox Gamepass. Have an EA Play game downloaded through xbox game pass and a shortcut icon on the desktop. Log out of any relevant accounts excluding Xbox.
- Reboot PC(to clear any running EA processes that are probably running and their data).
- Attempt to run game downloaded through xbox game pass via icon.
- select "keep me logged in" EA Login Screen
- Login via Xbox button
- Select "Keep me logged in" on microsoft login screen (this may not do anything)
- Complete Login
- Reboot PC(to clear any running EA processes and their data).
- Attempt to run game again

Is there a solution if you have an "old" Email account login?
I have the same issue, and it is really annoying. I guess not more people are reporting it because it's even more annoying to write about it in some forum, investing even more time than simply looking up the login password and email again. Personally, I have a small file on the desktop to copy and paste the info to, so I don't have to type it every time.
It's these little things that make the difference and determine the acceptance of your launcher. If I don't have to, I don't even bother logging into the EA app. By the way, this was also the case with the older Origin app. I've since replaced my hardware, including the hard drive, so I assume it is fair to say it must be the software. Steam, GoG, Epic, etc.work just fine.
Nonetheless, have nice weekend 🙂
