I keep getting this error when trying to reinstall the ea app. I've tried deleting all the old parts of the file and repairing visual C++, but can't seem to find the issue.

Okay, update: I downloaded the Sims 4 through Steam and somehow that fixed the problem.

I just Downloaded FIFA 23 at Steam on my PC but i can't install EA play and Announce like this "Something went wrong The EA app encountered an error and couldn't finish installing (error code: INST-14-1460)

Thank you so much! I just bought a new laptop and was getting so angry that the app wouldn't install. After using Drivereasy, I'm back in action. It is absolute bs though that we're having to purchase a program as a prerequisite to downloading the EA app.
I had same problem, well what worked for me was downloading all the microsoft visual C++ from 2012 to 2022 both x64 and x86.
this worked for me..
create another windows profile.. install the app, switch back to your main profile
