I had the same issue and the following worked for me: I checked all the "Microsoft Visual C++..." under "Apps" and choosed "Repair" where it was available. I restarted my computer and then the installation went just fine.
What I did was go back to the Origin Client. that works. Also changed to google dns numbers. but still the EA thing did not work. Origin does.
Community ManagerI tried out every fix i found and nothing worked, then i tried just using origin again but it forces me to install the ea app which is broken? I know you dont have anything to do with this but why bring out a app which is broken and then force players to switch from a working app to a broken app.
I enjoyed ea games, played a few fifa's, Madden, a lot parts of battlefield and a few others.
But i think it's time to leave this company behind.
I mean they always was controversial with all these payable content (had the feeling it got better after time) but if they really care so less about the problems i feel like it's better to not show them any kind of support anymore.
Sadly we are not able to play ea games on steam without their * ea App.
Got it installed, but am now getting error 500 for anything I try to view or launch. Weird. Yes, I'm on a 64-bit machine. Don't want to use my administrator machine account, because my user account is also administrator. Run as admin may do something, but I doubt it. I'm going back to Origin like quick. I want to play my game; not wait for a solution to this not to be publicized to everybody who tried & failed. Can't go back to Origin because it's now pushing that EA app on us all. EA should've tested this thoroughly and not left us completely disabled. WE ARE NOT BETA TESTERS, EA! Stop using us like this and go back to the old way of putting out software features. We don't get paid for this; YOU DO! For the game(s), for being an employee who should do QA better, and please stop the madness. I would've never kept my job as a developer putting out bad code like this.
I have literally tried every single option on every post in the forums just to download the EA App and NOTHING works. I have been doing this for over a year now hoping that it would get fixed but apparently its not a big enough issue for it to be fixed. Origin worked fine but now I cannot even revert back to it because its just now gone and regardless of any help I have gotten thus far, I still have not even gotten any closer to getting it to even start the install. I have gotten every single error code for the app to pop up just by literally trying to install it over and over again. The most frequent errors that pop up are Error Code: INST-21-32 & Error Code: INST-21-577.
I tried the link for the EA Desktop but you need Windows 8.1 to install it and sadly I'm using Windows 7 64-bit which is even harder because every help I get is for Windows 10 despite me avidly saying that I have a Windows 7 and just getting ignored because of it.
EA App needs to be fixed so anyone can install it without issues or just revert back to using Origin since that does not have any issues and anyone can install it.
