Forum Discussion
Honestly, this needs to become an industry standard and this applies to both apps and video games. When having a strictly adult to adult conversation and both of the adults in this case have the Censorship option turned off it should stop flagging "Red Flag" keywords strictly between those users while having a conversation. Not to mention if a game (like Battlefield 6, the game that I'm originally coming from) has a MATURE 17+ rating that includes blood, gore, intense violence, and last but not least STRONG LANGUAGE I don't think there should even be Censorship to begin with. I don't work at either Dice nor EA (btw it censored "EA" by itself a moment ago within the app when I started typing this discussion, also I have screen shots), but even I could create a rough solution with my rusty coding skills to this Unnecessary Censorship with the ability to hide it within the menu, or create a solution to hide / prevent the option from being used by a "minor" (I actually would love to talk to devs that work in this area for both the app and in-game). The restrictions that are currently in place limit my freedom of speech, and the ability to express myself, is simply uncouth / in bad taste and is extremely frustrating to the point where as a "User / Consumer" of the application(s) [both, EA Connect and Battlefield 6] makes me uninterested in the continued use of such a product.
