Same issue and I wanted to go back to my Sims 4 games. Never had issues with Origin. I have multiple games and launchers and have no connection issues but EA App everytime completely shuts off my connection untill I force close the app and the connection returns back after a while... I know for a fact the problem is not on my end and it is frustrating as I wanted to get the new Sims 4 expansion pack but I guess I cannot play sims anymore since all of my expansions and all are bought originally on Origin.

The launcher is faulty and EA won't even fix it...
