This happened to me too! I had several hundred hours in the sims 3, and the number was really a feeling of pride to me because I had spent summers when I was too young to get a job playing the game. Now it shows me I have 23 hours. I sent a fix it ticket in to ea with an email, but never got a response back
They are never gonna help and they never will. The greed of EA is imendous and there is nothing we can do about it. In their eyes we are just stupid goats being milked for money.
