I've tried literally every solution I found on the internet - nothing helps. Both EA app and the sims 4 game crashes on launch. At most I managed to reach the login screen but no matter of options I have chosen (like to stay logged in or not) it always crashes after that. It was working fine like 3 weeks ago, I didn't make any changes in my computer since then. I'm not interested in playing offline because I have a DLC I want to install

  • Lol this is a constant problem, check the forum posts. They've done nothing. Nada.  Roughly half the users or more are Sims users.  Starting to see a correlation..

    Pretty sure this company wants people to stop playing old sims, just like other tech platforms want old, user-owned content to be disabled. Sims 5 will be very different from Sims 3 & even 4.

    It's a really bad loss, either people need to complain in one unified way, or this company will do nada.

  • Yes I saw those posts, even tried every solution posted in them. I even responded in some of them but finally decided to create new thread because there was no progress in solving the issue or - for some reason - issue got marked as solved ☹️ I have been fighting with this for a few days now... I think it's time to just crack the game just to go around EA app ☹️

    It's weird that there are no answers from 'officials' on the latest threads about this issue and that they still roll out the broken app update. I got the update today and since I clicked on 'install' the app keeps on crashing. And I'm a Sims player too ö.Ö'

  • After many days and hours I have found a workaround. Annoying one but kinda worked in a way. It is nowhere close to a solution but it's always something....

    I have used this tutorial https://answers.ea.com/t5/General-Discussion/I-m-still-using-Origin/td-p/12379204/page/2 to launch origin app to be able to download additional DLC I wanted. Unfortunately somehow Sims 4 versions differ between the apps (?!?) so I had to "fix" (=redownload) whole game with all DLCs (took few hours...) just to discover that sims 4 won't launch from origin app nor on their own after whole procedure... So after that I removed all EA app account data from my pc, launched EA app, put on login data and marked the checkbox to keep me logged in, it crashed as before so I turned off my internet and launched sims 4 from it's proper exe file - it tried to launch EA app but failed because of no internet and allowed me to play in offline mode so no gallery in game and such. Maybe it will help someone to at least partially enjoy their game
