EA app opens itself when I'm not using it??

I've seen other people discussing this before, but I'm struggling with my EA app constantly opening itself and taking me to it when I have it completely shut. This is disrupting work and other games, and is even happening right now! The other forum on here with this issue said to turn off automatically opening on startup (MacBook) and I've already had this turned off for months, and the second option was to turn it off in the EA app settings- there's no option for this to be turned off? It's super infuriating and I'd love it if there was an actual solution to this as it's been happening for almost a year every single day.
