This is quite annoying to be honest and strange they did not notice this before release during game testing. I have not seen an issue with getting achievements, I simply don't see them pop during game play so don't know they were earned but I do have them after I exit and return to EA App they are listed for what i have unlocked. Also without the overlay no friends chat.
Hopefully they fix this quickly.
guess what has never been fixed after two years.
Still not fixed and there are multiple issues logged for it.
I stopped receiving achievements when my overlay stopped working (playing through EA app directly) so they definitely rely on it in someway. I still did everything to 100%... so maybe one day.
