EA App refuses to do anything

EA App simply refuses to work.

Since yesterday (10/3/2024) the EA app just decided it no longer wanted to work. It's done this before, but I have been able to fix it.

Not this time.

It starts with any shortcuts I have deleting/breaking. They simply no longer exist according to EA. Which is a little dumb, as I can still click on "open containing folder" and find the program right there, only to discover the program itself has decided to break and that it has decided it no longer exists on my computer.

I try everything: Deleting everything related to EA (games/folder and such), Running the app installer as administrator. I even deleted and re-downloaded the most recent version of the app installers, and nothing is working.

What happens is basically this: I hit "let's go" (The EA version of "install" because they want to be special and fancy), it downloads everything (or so it claims), and as soon as it's done it pops up that there was an error with the installation.

Simply put: If I can't get this game working, it's going to be a problem because EA isn't exactly cheap; and it's not like I can just return a disk and get my money back. I paid for this game (The Sims 4), so at the very least it should work consistently. If I'm not able to access it because the app it's on keeps breaking (even according to other people), I don't think that's a "me" problem.

    I tried to file this under Bug Reports, but alas, I'm having a similar issue to someone else on this demon site: The very first required field drop-down menu doesn't work (where it says "Product"). So I'll put all that stuff here:

    The EA App should be working as intended.
     
     
    Since I can't get it to work, I will need a refund, but clearly I can't go through the proper channels for it because the whole of EA services are broken, apparently.
    Game version is  1.109.185.1030 (because I know someone will scream piracy)
