Is it possible that you had the other version also installed previously?

    It was installed previously, but I uninstalled it before installing the Steam version.

        I've followed the instructions on that linked guide, but it has not fixed it unfortunately. Even after a reboot and then reinstalling the game I still get "You don't have access".
