EA app will not open

I have been trying to open the EA app for several hours now, and absolutely nothing is working. Whenever I go to run the app, the cursor spins for a moment, and then just stops. Checking task manager during this process shows that the app attempts to open for a few seconds, and then completely stops. 

I have tried running as an administrator, clearing the cache, fixing the app, and a few other things, but absolutely nothing is working. I have tried to uninstall the app, but unfortunately even this doesn't work, as the uninstaller will not run. 

Any help would be appreciated, as all I want to do this evening is relax and play games, and now I am unable to.

    Hey @TWilkins11,

    Sorry to hear you've been having some trouble getting the EA app to launch successfully.

    Typically when you see the app show up briefly in your task manager and then disappear again without actually launching, there's another program or process blocking it.

    You've definitely gone through some great steps already, so at this point it would be best to check anything else that may be preventing this from launching. Security programs are one of the more common causes we'll see for something like this, so I'd definitely be sure you've added the EA app as an exception in whatever you're using on your system.

    It may be helpful to check through these other steps for any background applications aside from that as well.

    Close background applications to run the EA app

    If you restart your system after that point and are still unable to get this to launch, it would be worth trying a clean boot of your system with these steps as well.

    Unfortunately the EA App is already being allowed through my firewalls, and there have been no changes to my systems since I last launched it successfully. The only change I can see is that the EA App Icon is now white instead of orange. 

    I have noticed that every time I try to launch the app, it becomes a 'suspended' task, that cannot be killed or resumed. 

    I do not feel comfortable doing the full reset that you suggest, as it clearly indicates that you should not do it unless you are confident with computers, which I am not. 

    What else are you able to suggest?
