I can't even get the EA App to pass 55% in the "Downloading" phase of installation. So you're one up on me!

That's a separate issue. If you have posted about it, you should hopefully get a solution soon BUT the solution will be different to @barnacleboi32 because your EA app is stuck during the installation process and @barnacleboi32 EA app won't open at all despite it being installed previously and them previously having access to it 🙂
