Summarize your bug The app zeroed my playtime and the last launch date for DAO (mostly), DA2, ME, ME2, ME:LE, and The Sims 3. ME3, ME:A, and DA:I miss only the last launch date. The Sims 4 is fine.
How often does the bug occur? Every time (100%)
Steps: How can we find the bug ourselves? I'm not sure if this bug can be reproduced intentionally. But something happened with the app or the servers between June 4 and November 27.
What happens when the bug occurs? I feel pain for 600 hours now lost in my beloved DAO.
What do you expect to see? My play time progress back.
Hey there.
So, I've noticed about two weeks ago, during the sale, that the EA app has reset my play time and the last launch date in some selected games:
- Dragon Age: Origins
- Dragon Age II
- Mass Effect
- Mass Effect 2
- Mass Effect Legendary
ME3, Andromeda, and Inquisition are fine with play time, though they are missing the last launch time. Moreover, DAO seems to have counted 40 hours from somewhere and knows when I last played it. Probably because I played it this summer. But I would have noticed if I launched the game with zero on the timer, for it had about 600 hours before that - luckily, I record all my progress on hltb. The Sims 4 wasn't affected, probably because I play it on a regular basis. So that happened sometime between June 4 and November 27.
And I'm pretty sure the time was synchronized correctly at the beginning of use of EA Desktop, which was right when it was officially released.
So, I'm not really sure now that it's a temporary bug in any way, like with the missing games in the library at the app's first launch, so should I say goodbye to those hours? I submitted a bug report two weeks ago, but I've never been contacted back.
