Even though I have changed the Windows graphic settings to have "EA Background Service' run in power saving mode (and in NVIDIA control panel) the service always uses my discrete GPU no matter the option I choose.How often does the bug occur? Every time (100%)Steps: How can we find the bug ourselves? Validate "EA Background Service" is running in task manager Enable the option "Display GPU Activity Icon in Notification Area" in NVIDIA Control Panel Click on the GPU activity icon and you will see that eabackgroundservice.exe is under "Application running on this GPU"What happens when the bug occurs? Discrete GPU is always active thus unnecessarily reducing battery life.What do you expect to see? EA Background Service must only use integrated GPU to preserve power.

No update yet? I can't play any game using the EA App because of this issue.

Anyone find a fix yet or is it hopeless?

@bushnaqm I'm experiencing the very same thing unfortunately, tried to set it using the iGPU via Windows' settings and through Nvidia's control Panel but unfortunately the issue persists, a huge disappointment and inconvenience.

EA, please sort this out. A background service should not be running in the background using a Discrete GPU, especially not on Laptops.

I mean at least, at the VERY least just kill off the service automatically whenever the user exits the EA App. Not to mention that I have already disabled any background activity within the app itself.
Please sort it out guys, it's an important bug to fix.
