After I tried those steps, I got the same result. I opened up EA desktop and went to the game I wanted to download, but I got the loading text instead of the dowload button. Also, I forgot to mention, the only time I get the loading text instead of the download button is whenever I clear the cache, which im assuming I just did with those steps. Whenever I get the loading text instead of the download button, I restart the desktop app and go back to the game and the download button shows up, but then it gets stuck on calculating time.
Just Uninstall it and download it agian, it worked for me
