Had this same problem while trying to run this game on a Windows 11 OS with a user account that doesn't have admin rights, despite running both the EA App and Epic Games Launcher using "run as admin" and providing admin account credentials.
If I click in the Epic Store launcher on "Install" under new Dead Space it just displays "Please wait while we install the partner application" for a few seconds and nothing happens.
I tried reinstalling both Epic Games Launcher and the EA App but same result.
I managed to solve my problem by logging into my PC using an account that does have full admin rights. After that, when I clicked "Install" under new Dead Space game I was first prompted to link my EA and Epic accounts and the game installed successfully but from my EA App, despite the fact I bought it from Epic Games store.
After the installation, the game can be normally run as any other using an account that doesn't have admin rights. Just the installation and linking of the accounts seems to have issues if you are logged in with an account that doesn't have full admin rights despite running both clients as an administrator.

I've solved the problem by
1) Uninstalling both EA App and Epic Games app
2) Deleting all remains from %appdata% and Program Files from EA app
3) Reinstalling both apps
After this, I received the window with the request to link Epic Store account and EA App. That part was missing and blocking me before.

I am here a year later and facing this issue. I just bought Dead Space remake and when I click launch it says something about "starting partner application" - then a window pops up that looks like it us going to be username/password dialog by the size/shape but it disappears before it finishes rendering, then it never launches Dead Space.
In the Epic app it under Dead Space it says "running" , and in the EA app it has the below dialog with a progress bar that just loops around for ever.
How can this still not be fixed after all this time?

The solution for me is to terminate the EA games process then restart it with Administrator privileges ("Run as Administrator") - then the game will start. Even if you triggered the start from Epic and it didn't start, the after restarting EA with Admin causes the game to immediately launch.
