EA Games on MacOs won’t cancel the download of The Sims 4

Question

i planned to install The Sims 4 game on my external drive, I picked the right install location, but after it started downloading I found that the memory of Mac itself started to decrease. I clicked to cancel the download and now it’s stuck at 3% and the buttons are unavailable.
i tried reinstalling the Ea App multiple times however it didn’t help.

the Sims 3 is working completely fine.

@timabyeurovision same here, I've just transitioned from Origin to EA play on my macbook air, and because it was stuck at preparing for so long, I thought I'll cancel and restart it. Hope there'll be a solution soon, I wanna play sims ☹️

Surprisingly, this “cancelling” thing has&nbsp;disappeared randomly for me after I reinstalled ea games for a few times… and now it works
