EA ID name mismatch Online/In App

Greetings,

I have tried several methods of troubleshooting this issue - How do I change my EA ID name so that it reflects in the EA application on my PC?

I've already gone to manage my account and changed the EA ID.

However, despite signing out of the EA app, closing it out and restarting it, i still get a random string as my name. 

ChatGPT wasn't able to help me solve it. Checking the forums and google searching was no help. Did my account just break? How do i fix it?
