"EA is not responding" Error at Start (Feb. 2026)

When I start my laptop I get this error. I need to open my game at first to open ea app. Clearing cache or reinstalling app not working.

    Update 02/18/2026;  

    There is a new EA App update ( v 13.649.0.6162 ). It solved every issue stated on my previous thread.

    For your conveniences and safety on the process, uninstall EA App whole.
    1.Download a new copy on the EA website. 
    2. Install the app with administrative privileges.
    3. Open EA Updater in the root directory ( where EA App was installed) . It will update it to v 13.649.0.6162 ( Windows User)
    4.  Open EA App, log in. It will load up Store Interface without any problems. No stuck/ freezing.

    I installed The Sims 4 with multiple add-ons ( even last expansion pack and 2 last kits), with various experimenting scenarios, adjusting game options, different savefiles, even re-logging on EA Account several times for checking any cache issue.  No inconveniences.

    Hope this solution is useful for all of you. 😀

  • Same and it's also not letting me and my friends see our offline messages. If the window is not open, the messages disappear.  The failed to connect to server is 100% of the time. It takes at least 3 tries to get it open.

    I play on my laptop.

    Have you noticed a sharp decline in maintenance? I sure have.

  • Friday 20th February 2026: The latest version of the EA app has resolved the freezing and not responding errors for me.
