i have this problem aswell when i tried to launch titanfall 2 on the ea app and it closes ea and i sat and waited for 10 minutes and nothing happened and when i went back into ea i couldnt launch titanfall fall because it was already running so i went into task manager and stopped ea from running and started it up again.
when i did that i tried to launch titanfall 2 again but now its giving me a system error saying " the code execution cannot proceed because MSVCP120.dll was not found
i managed to get it to work, do the following:
go to "C:\Program Files\Electronic Arts\EA Desktop\EA Desktop"
then right click ea launcher and hit properties

then go to the compatibility tab, and click on "run this program as an administrator", then hit apply/ok

repeat for all the exe's in that folder, not sure its needed for all of them but i i did it just in case and it ended up working.
you may have to open up task manager before you run the game and end the process called "EA background service" so that it can restart as admin when you start the game.

Doing all the EXEs as run as admin didn't work for me.

Same, doing exe as admin doesn't solve anything... Origin was just fine.

nice, it worked for me one time and rip, @help have no clue LMFAO, run file checker??, run dxdiag???, check ur antivirus ??? r u kidding me??? is this some indian tech support?? at least i know the problem was with the app ITSELF and not my PC, cmon guys, it was fine when origin was running, now forcing people to install a program which is completely useless, cant join friends games, cant invite friends to games, cant lauch games, SMH

precisely, ea cant do one thing right. Fifa 23 has had problems on pc and its just overlooked. couldnt launch the game at all on ea so used origin and now they have permanently made me use ea app so cant even launch the game. Been having to reinstall anticheat everytime i play and they are just sooo lazy. Ive tried everything but cant play my bloody games. EA get a fu***** grip.

a launcher that doesn't launch games...yep sounds like an EA product.

a little update, i can launch games if i do as @Kripcision said and quit ea app then force kill "EA background service" with taskmanager, if game launching stops, do it everytime lol. this works if u r online ONLY, forget if u r trying to do it offline. also i added admin privilages for EA Launcher only. and bro, u should be the person working here for assistance😂

@KripcisionHey thanks man, turning all the exes in that file to admin finally fixed it for me (for now...). EA link went a little funny and went into windows 8 compatibility mode, still didn't work, then I cleared cache and reset the compatibility. Now my Battlefield is working again.
Thanks chief. - 2 years ago

I have this problem for years. It started with Battlefront 2, now BF2 fixed by itself and Battlefield games are not launching. I really don't know what fixed BF2 but it is working now. It's a real shame that I can't play the games I BOUGHT!
- 2 years ago@frithechosen I finally found the solution!
search for "edit environment variables for your account" in start menu and run it. at the top there will be something like GAME DATA and next to it will be battlefront 2 or frosty's location, I don't remember exactly, select and delete it. then delete frosty by deleting the installed folder. then go to the battlefront 2 folder and delete the "ModData" folder and restart the computer.
Enjoy your game 🙂
