I was having the same problem with EA Play Beta in windows 10, so I changed back to Origin and voila, the problem was fixed!! I think that, the EA Play app is still buggy.
Origin worked for me.
EA app is broken. It doesn't register games that I've purchased. It suggests i link MSFT account but won't allow me to link it due to error i posted.
