I believe that is something that we are working on @GT500org and I agree that "Something blew up" isn't the most accurate of descriptions.
Have you also tried the msi installer that one community member mentioned in this post?
looks like that is if you can't install EA desktop at all, i have it installed but can't download any games i get a 500 error message that says something about the servers.
- 5 years ago@daddy2times1085 If that's an HTTP 500 then it's a generic error. Wikipedia's description of it is literally "A generic error message, given when an unexpected condition was encountered and no more specific message is suitable."
Of course, EA could just be using their own 3-digit error codes that look like HTTP status codes. I certainly hope they aren't though, as that would be confusing.- 5 years ago
I have the same problem. It did install the first time but I was unable to download any games. When I uninstalled it and tried to reinstall it, the "Something blew up" message appeared right after clicking "Let´s Go". In contradiction to OP, the error didn´t appear just before finishing, but rather a second after clicking the button. It then asks me to restart my PC, but when I click "Yes", all it does is closing the app and not restarting. I have found no solution so far (un/reinstalling didn't work either) and hope someone can help me, as the XBOX Ultimate Pass makes it impossible to install the games that are included in EA-Play any other way than over EA-Desktop.

Hi @VortexPulse22,
There are some suggestions in this thread, could you let me know what you have tried to fix it so far?
