@daddy2times1085 If that's an HTTP 500 then it's a generic error. Wikipedia's description of it is literally "A generic error message, given when an unexpected condition was encountered and no more specific message is suitable."

Of course, EA could just be using their own 3-digit error codes that look like HTTP status codes. I certainly hope they aren't though, as that would be confusing.

I have the same problem. It did install the first time but I was unable to download any games. When I uninstalled it and tried to reinstall it, the "Something blew up" message appeared right after clicking "Let´s Go". In contradiction to OP, the error didn´t appear just before finishing, but rather a second after clicking the button. It then asks me to restart my PC, but when I click "Yes", all it does is closing the app and not restarting. I have found no solution so far (un/reinstalling didn't work either) and hope someone can help me, as the XBOX Ultimate Pass makes it impossible to install the games that are included in EA-Play any other way than over EA-Desktop.

@EA_Jason having the same or similar issue when i run mine it comes with a pop up that state " EAConnect_microsoft.exe - System Error The code execution cannot proceed because VCRUNTIME 140_1.dill was not found. Reinstalling the program may fix this problem" i try reinstalling to no avail.

@EA_Jason yaa baby thats what im talkin about. thank you. i had tried making an empty folder and seeing if it could fill that and updating windows, but such a niche little thing to have to go so far around to fix it.

It's tricky little bugger that happens a lot, sometimes it needs a little repairing and updating.
