Failed to launch game - Battlefield 3

FYI there is a solution after all - you need to use BattleLog!

I don't remember the exact steps I took, but I managed to get it working on my PC. The trick is to launch the game via the BattleLog website (link below) and you need to do this every time. I somehow set it up so that even if I launce the game from the EA app or Steam, it opens the website and then I just choose a server and play. Hope this helps!
