If anyone is having any issues after trying all the other solutions on here:
1- Uninstall EA App. It's broken don't even bother using it. Reinstall Origin and turn off Origin auto update just in case.
2- Go to the game file in Steam and into the "_installer" folder.
3- Delete Cleanup.exe and Touchup.exe
4- Go into the "Origin" folder in "_installer" and click through the files until you see "EAappInstaller.exe" and delete that.
Then it should work at least for Fallen Order. Other games you may have to search around for anything EA app related in the game files and delete it or they will probably conflict. I had to restart Origin for some reason after all that but eventually it worked. Those files seem to force Origin to not run and install EA app instead. Don't bother with the EA app it does not work. Absolutely rushed.
I was so hopeful! This fix did not work for me either. I still have the popup on origin trying to force me to the broken ea app. I wonder if it is bricking origin for me now
@EternalKimIlsung its not working because when you open origin they spam you to use The garbage EAapp and you cannot do anything else
