So I got the game to install. I took one month of EA Play and the game installed without any problem....Why? I don't know but I think it's pretty stange that you need to get a subscription to download a game. But it works for me.
I saw Online that buying ea play for one month would work so i did it for one month but it still didn't let me download. This only happened recently for me as I played the game on the 21st of July and then on the same day... it disappeared from my downloaded games and would get stuck on preparing, If anybody has found any answers on this please let me know, thanks.

@isaaciscool06 Hey, so your account doesn't show an actual active EA Play sub which may be the cause of the issue.
@Bonari If you had an EA Play sub, it may be the same issue.
For this one, I would recommend both contacting live support and have them look at the sub as I believe that may be the cause of the issue you are having with this. We cannot make changes over the forums but let them know to look at the sub on the account and that may be causing an issue.- 3 years ago
I believe I'm having a similar issue. I purchased the Ultimate Edition nearly a year ago, then later installed the game after taking a break using EA Play. Now I can't download it at all. I'm stuck on preparing, and I think it's because the app believes I'm trying to download using an expired EA Play subscription, I'm not, I'd like to download the Ultimate Edition I've already purchased.

@Mike_YZYZ It has happened before. The best thing to do there is go to the store, locate the game there, and download the one you own and not the one in the library. If that does not work, you would need to reach out to live support so that they can check that sub as it has conflicted with purchases before. It happened to be a couple of times with older titles.
