Fix for failed game installation (EA App)

Hello EA App users,

If you are experiencing failed game installations using the EA App, please make sure that your game library folder is not the default folder set automatically by the EA App. Always make sure to install all your games at a custom game library folder that is not in the default C:\Program Files folder. For example, use C:\EA Games or D:\EA Games or anything else. Make sure to avoid the Program Files folder as that folder is problematic for old EA games that are not properly compatible with modern 64bit Windows. Once I did that I was able to install my C&C games, Mirror's Edge, and other classic EA Games.

I hope that this solution is helpful.

  • @TKlarka Can you please disable the EA app in-game overlay? Also, please try to repair The Sims 4 using the EA app and see what happens.

@Petr780 Ok, I did everything and it starts downloading again, then it looks fine.

  • @TKlarka Hello, I would like to ask if you know how to play the game in Czech, if a friend has a MAC and not IOS. Reinstalling didn't help. and MAC has no Registry. Thank you for answer.
