    It looks like this issue has been resolved.

Pretty simple,
1. Sadly you do have to uninstall the EA app.
2. Then you have to go to the Official EA app download website.
3. When you download it, click on the customize setup button, and select change drive.
4. Change it to the folder or drive you want to install your game or games and it should work.
If this doesn't work maybe clear the cache and run it as administrator, but other then that, this is what I can give you.

    Thanks for giving a good answer, with bullet points lol, but it's a shame because I wouldn't exactly call that a simple fix.

    Hopefully they look into this quite soon and fix because it's a rather embarrassing problem.
