I have just spent another hour talking to support, every time we go round in circles asking me to follow the same steps:
Reset the app
check your internet connection (err how would I be able to chat if I had no connection to the internet)
disable non-M$ services.
run with elevated priviledges
strangely they never asked me to check my firewall, but I disabled it anyway.
Once again, I ask this to be escalated.
Once again, they tell me to keep an eye on their twitter account:
Meanwhile I am unable to connect with my gaming friends on any EA games and use the software that I already paid for.
Considering that there was no issue with this on Origin, and they got rid of that without fixing this which I logged with them a year ago I am wandering who is in charge of this mess?? Perhaps they need to get a role more suited to their lack of ability.
I am convinced this is a account issue and not an App issue. Most of my friends do not have an issue with their FL but I do.
I installed the EA App on another PC and the FL still does not work I think that negates it being an App issue. More likely it has to be something to do with our accounts on their end.

It's an account issue and an app issue. My friends list works just fine on Origin. Once people shift over to EA app, we'll see how many other people are affected.

Can you let me know if you're still having the same issue with your friends list? There was a recent update that may have helped with this, so I just want to see if anyone is still running into the same problems.Thanks!

I can confirm that the list does now load. However, some friends appear to display GUIDs rather than gamer tags. I can give specific guids versus the name I think it shows on a private channel if you wish.
Only took a year to almost fix it since I first logged the call, thanks EA :P
I trust that it will not take another year for the full fix?
I would hope that EA give me a month's free EAPlay to reflect the several hours I have wasted with support frequently just having to go through the same steps with multiple personnel just to convince them that the issue was not with my build, for what turns out to be a bug? Highly frustrating when I just want to play some BF with my buddies. Your support system just closes unresolved calls which I guess is due to volume but does leave some support cases ignored for an extended period.
Sadly, my GPU died this week and I'll just have to wait for the RMA.

Hey everyone, I am re-opening this topic because I have the same issue for couple days now, I've created 2 other accounts and when I log in both of them, I can still not see the friend list. So i assume it is not an account related problem ?
If any of you have a fix to this please share it.
