Friends list issues with EA app

Eggeasters​ GustavJadedrage​ I, right now have the same problem. My friend is over at my house, so we're using the same network and we still can't join each other or see anything. List takes 50 years to load. When it does, everyone including myself is offline and not able to change it. It seems like a problem on EA's end, sucks because its such an old problem and it still happens lol. I can only assume the previous fixes from this 3y old problem only fixed a few aspects but did not treat the root of the problem of this stupid friends list (RIP Origin friends list I will forever miss you). I'm going to be waiting for tomorrow and hoping that it will fix itself.
