GPU memory leak when clicking through games in the app.

Product: EA Desktop
Platform:PC
Error Report ID (learn how to create an Error Report ID in the sticky post) e461259f-710e-4c61-87df-8426bf983681
Which client functionality are you experiencing this bug with? Performance
When did this happen? (dd.mm.yy hh:mm) 09.10.21
Summarize your bug Dedicated GPU memory usage goes up very quickly when clicking through your Recently Played games on the sidebar. After doing this for a couple of minutes, the application can use more than 3 GB of dedicated GPU memory. The high memory usage won't get freed unless the application is exited out completely.
How often does the bug occur? Often (50% - 99%)
Steps: How can we find the bug ourselves? Open up EA desktop client. Click through all the game icons of your Recently Played games on the left side.
What happens when the bug occurs? Too much GPU memory is used. If you play games without enough GPU memory, stuttering/low fps can occur.
What do you expect to see? An acceptable amount of memory used with no leaks.

You can find out the memory by looking at Task Manager > Performance > GPU. Or go to Task Manager > Details, right-click a column > Select columns > tick Dedicated GPU memory box.

    Hi @bluebomb5,

I just tested this myself and it only seems to happen when you are very generous in your clicks.

Maybe this is because of the dynamic background that are loaded and displayed when clicking on those game?
