Haven't been able to reinstall the EA app after it crashed 2 weeks ago

I have been playing The Sims for a quarter of a century, and have never had as major of a problem as I have had for the past 2 weeks!  I was playing Sims 4 two Saturdays ago when the game started glitching, specifically with the camera controls.  It got to the point that I couldn't control the camera at all - luckily my computer is a touch screen so I was able to save and exit my game that way.  I also restarted my computer.  When the computer restarted, the EA app had disappeared from my computer.  Since then, I have tried reinstalling the app countless times unsuccessfully.  I have posted my issue on a subreddit about The Sims 4, and I have been in contact with EA support close to a dozen times since then.  None of the suggested fixes have worked.  I either get an error message when I attempt to install the EA app, or it says installing indefinitely (I once left it "installing" overnight and when I checked the next day, it still said installing).  My computer is brand new as well, and everything worked fine with the game and the app for these first couple of months since I bought it.  The amount of money I have spent on EA products for the past 25 years also further infuriates me about this situation.  Doe anyone have any advice?  I am going through withdrawals from Sims 4!

    Hey @fleecie711,

I'm sorry to hear you're unable to reinstall the EA app and play your games. If you can't get the installation to finish, you can try to use Ccleaner to clear any temp and cached files that might be preventing this.

To delete them, you can try using CCleaner to clear out issues and errors.

For instructions on how to use Ccleaner to uninstall apps, click here.

While we suggest using CCleaner, EA does not provide user support for this program–use it at your own risk. Please follow any installation guides straight from CCleaner when installing and performing program set-up. You can find help on CCleaner’s support page.

Once that's done, please restart your PC and try reinstalling the EA app.

Let us know how that goes,
