Having trouble recovering my EA account since due to shutdown

Hi Everyone

I’m having trouble with my EA account as it has asked me to authenticate the email linked to the account which had already expired. 

However my backup email address is still active and linked to the EA account, but I have completely no idea how can I use it as an advantage. I keep receiving emails from EA on the backup account so I can validate my statements If it’s required. 

Has anyone had a similar issue? 

I am hoping to recover my account, there has been a lot of sims DLCs and a lot of love put into those savefiles🥲
