How do I bypass the EA App and access Origin to play games.

How do I bypass the EA App forced installation and access Origin to play games. I cannot open Origin. It is forcing to install the EA app that does not work! The EA app is broken. Purchased conten...

Is this still working for you? Getting error 500 EVERY DAY. Hours troubleshooting ending in tears. Here I was worried I couldn’t play offline to avoid a game patch, never imagined I wouldn’t be able to play at all!

thought I was SO SMART demanding the origin link from them and downloading it after uninstalling EA. Was now looking up how to block EA when I found this thread. Feeling defeated again and should have known others would have thought of this. Ugh.

Hi hi, 

I often get a 500 error, when I tried to launch Sims 4 from my desktop which then went to opening the EA app and show me 500 error (no game launched).

Thought to chime in what (normally) works for me:

  1. Quit EA app from your tray ^ - Right click then exit.
  2. Next Ctrl-Alt-Del to launch your Task Manager, find "EA background service" and kill it.
  3. After which, try to launch your game from desktop again.
