At everyone......
And, ofc, they're still trying to kill the Origin client. Just got a popup today about upgrading again. But, you need to be closing those out and NOT accepting their upgrade. I then had to delete those 'OriginThinSetupInternal.exe's again. Apparently, they're going to keep trying to lock us out of a perfectly decent working client to try an force us into their newer invasive client.
@NikkiXoLynnBecause this is where people go to find info....to get help with the Origin client cuz they want it instead of that junk EA client....which is why I came here in the first place. Sure....they'll keep coming up with invasive ways to try an force us out of the Origin client. And, we'll have to keep digging through files and modifying / deleting them. But, they'd of done it anyway....even if we hadn't been posting here. It doesn't help in here though when ppl cue the staff using the AT <staff-name> functions like we use for replying to each other.

I really really appreciate all the help you've posted so far. I used your fix previously to get the EA app pop up to go away but I messed up today and that fix is no longer working ☹️
The new Sims 4 expansion pack was released today and the only way to get it to download on Origin was to first update the stupid Origin app. (I was on offline mode before but the new expansion would not download on offline mode ☹️ )
Now, I am having the EA app force download pop up appearing again. I was able to see that the new expansion downloaded behind the pop up but I can't get that stupid pop up to go away so I can actually play the new game!
Any suggestions on what I could do? I tried adding the settings key line to the local.html file again but it doesn't work ☹️
