How to fix EA app Error 500?

I am Having the same issue non of my games are working the same error.

I'm having the same issue, and am also wondering why we need to log into an online account to play a game downloaded onto a home computer that i play at home with nobody else involved. More feaping creatures gumming up the works and forcing us to jump through unnecessary hoops actually lowers the value (but not the costs) of your games. this is exactly why I hadn't bought any games from EA games for the last two years and I'm starting to think that it was a mistake to start again.

I was having the same problem. I solved it by running the shortcut at C:\Program Files\Electronic Arts\EA Desktop\EA Desktop\App Recovery.

This gave a pop up and I clicked "Clear Cache". Then I opened the EA app and it restored access to my library.

Edit:

1. Go to C:\Program Files\Electronic Arts\EA Desktop\EA Desktop\

2. There you will find a shortcut called "App Recovery". Double click it from within C:\Program Files\Electronic Arts\EA Desktop\EA Desktop\.

3. Then click "Clear Cache". Worked for me. 

Anyone else getting the error 500 when they try to download or search for a game. I haven’t been able to play anything for 3 weeks now it’s getting frustrating. I’ve updated my computer and EA app plus checked my connection but nothing seems to work. 

I have tried that several times. Have even deleted the EA app download and redownloaded it. Nothing works, still seeing the exact same message. 

I've been having this problem as well, and even after using the recovery it hasn't fixed it. I had the same thing about a month ago as well, which then went away for seemingly no reason, and when I went on last night it's just back again.
