When the EA app tries to launch I see the you're back online in background box then it gets a message (in a ne pop-up box) saying a stubborn issue has happened ,to logout then error code EC:105 (whatever that is) I've tried to restart the app ,nothing. I tried to logout. Again nothing. I've checked my Wi-Fi connection its good (as well I'm on the internet on my PC reporting this) I tried to close the EA background service and app from task manager and reopen the app. even restarted my PC.What do you expect to see? I expect to be able to launch or at least logout and log back in to the EA app. I've tried to see if servers are down, but decided to report the technical issue CM edit: edited title for clarity.

I resolved it by going back into windowed screen instead of full screen. A bit gutted as the last Sims 4 patch enabled DX11 users to return to full screen and use the window's button to minimise. At least the EA App no longer crashes in the background and I can access the gallery once more.

I see that this is an old error, and I used to get it a lot with my old antivirus software. I changed the antivirus software ages ago and everything has worked brilliantly until now, before you ask, I have checked my antivirus software for changes to accessibility. I have restarted the app, cleared cache, scanned my pc, cleared game cache, basically have done everything a general user should (or one who knows how to search for fixes even though they are not an IT professional). Sims 4 player here and the Gallery access has gone to S##T.

@FurnyQC to be honest Ive only made this post because i thought EA was going to help me fix it because this is where the rabbit hole sent me. I normally can fix everything myself but to have a request for help and not be EA to me is even worse when it comes to company standing. No offense to anyone who is helping I appreciate all the advice and possibilities. Ya’ll are awesome people for helping.
I just didn’t get to where EA themselves said hey we know issues here are ways to fix it or we are attempting to fix this for the future.

Bingo. Going offline and then online fixes this. Clearly a client/server bug, not system related.

@FurnyQC Update: Solution:

step1: from the desktop task bar(lower right side of the screen), i had 2 hidden ea play icon, on one of them i right clicked "log out" and the second i clicked "exit"

step2: went back to my downloads folder, launched the ea app installer and i clicked "repair"

after the whole repair process, ea app just launched itself normally with a message saying that my "membership has expired" i dont know if its refering to some sort of inactivity from me or if its refering to a ea play membership, but if its refering to a ea play expitation i dont even remember ever subscribing to that :/
