UPDATE 07-06-2024:
For those of you in Norway, we're hoping you can help us out by sharing a bit more info with us. First, we'd like to see what happens if you try visiting any of the following URLs. Click on the spoiler tag below to see the links:
What happens when you click on each of those three links? Do you see a login screen? Do you see any text? Are you getting any errors? Please let us know! We're also hoping that you could share some more detailed connection info when you're trying to access any of those links above. Grabbing a HAR file from Google Chrome will give us more info to dive into. For more info on how to find the HAR file, follow these steps on the Google Support website: Capture web session traffic
Once you have the HAR file, please open a case at the EA Help website and attach the file to your case. For more info on how to set up a case check out the EA Help website.
Include "#NorwayAHQ" in your case, which will help us keep track of the files.
NOTE: Please do not attach your HAR files directly to this thread on AHQ.
Thank you everyone for your patience as we've been looking into these reports. The information you've shared with us so far has been helpful, and we appreciate you working with us to get this figured out!
Hi everyone,
We've observed a slight rise in reports from players encountering the EC:10000 or EC:10500 error in the EA app. This seems to be a temporary issue beyond our control, primarily affecting players in Norway, particularly those using the ISP Telia.
We will keep you posted with any updates.
Thank you.

I wrote a article about this on the norwegian simspage Simskrystallen, so that the message reaches as many people as possible. 😊

I think about a lot of strange things at night.😛
About 2 weeks ago, Telia had massive problems and was completely down in Norway.- And it was after this that the reports about EC:50100 started to appear in Norway. So it might seem that something strange happened after that. It realy annoys me that I haven't been able to connect these two events earlier. 😅

Is there an ETR on this?
Because I've tried multiple ISP's now, and there's still the same issue.
I've reinstalled, rebooted, cleared cache, changed DNS.
10500 happened after upgrading to Sonoma 14.5 on Tuesday. Today (Saturday) was the first time I've been able to login on ea.com via my phone (iPhone 14 Pro) and my mac (Apple M3 Pro), up until now the error message on web is that I need to be online....
None of the buttons work in the app, and there's no way to repair the app since I can't login.
Again, I've tried on Telia, Homenet, Telenor. None of your solutions work.

I was in Norway when this problem started. Now I am in the Unites States (Spectrum Wifi) and the same error code continues to show up.

WORKAROUND!
Hey guys,
I live in Norway and have Telia as my ISP. I've been struggling for two weeks and have tried everything mentioned in this thread. Since this thread was starting to point fingers towards the ISP, I thought maybe I could get around the problem by using a VPN. It worked on my PC (not tested on Mac). Since I don't have a VPN subscription, I went on YouTube to find the fastest free version. I found one called Proton VPN to be useful, so here is what I did:
- Download and install the free version of Proton VPN.
- Run it and click "Quick Connect" (on my first try it connected me to a server in Amsterdam in the Netherlands).
- Open the Start menu or press the Windows key and type "EA." Choose "Open file location."
- Run "App Recovery" and clear the cache for the EA app.
After it is done clearing the cache, it should restart the app and the normal login menu should appear.
Now that I have successfully logged in, I no longer need to be connected to the VPN.
I have tried closing the app, restarting my computer, and even logging out of the app and back in.
The problem is GONE! 🥳
I hope this helps any fellow gamers who have this horribly frustrating problem in Norway and other countries.
-Happy gaming!

UPDATE 18-06-2024:Hi everyone,We've observed a significant decrease in reports from players encountering the EC:10000 or EC:10500 error in the EA app, particularly those related to the Telia provider in Norway.Because of this, we're seeing this temporary issue as resolved.Thank you.- Kobi_Kafkafim1 year agoSeasoned Rookie
how is this issue resolved? i have tried everything you suggest and suprise suprise the EA app still wont open! wow! instead of letting so many people lose their mind trying to solve an issue that doesnt exist with their PC but instead in your app and still not solving this issue for several months is absurd. you cant even play or install any new games when the app opens in every 1 to 100 tries. i am not going to "help you investigate" and change my windows setting and accounts because its on your end, take responsibility and fix your app that no one wanted! we were happy with origin.

I've tried all of their fixes and just got mine working by doing this. I went into the settings in the EA App and toggled off background services. Once I rebooted windows and restarted the app my error was gone. I also had an update that was frozen before that was fixed by this too and it successfully updated. Be aware that with this toggled off your games won't update when the app is closed but if it at least gets you in and working it's worth it

Hi, I am now having issue with this error code coming up todo with my account. I have never had a problem before today. What do I do?
I opened Task Manager and ended the EA background services process (I also ended all other opened EA processes just to start fresh).
Following one of the solutions recommended in this thread, I navigated to the EA app recovery file location (in my case, it was C:\ProgramData\Microsoft\Windows\Start Menu\Programs\EA) and double-clicked on it. This action prompted a cache clearance and then reopened the EA app. Afterward, I signed back into my account. This approach worked effectively for me this time.

THIS FROM JUST NOW!

since i updated to windows 11, I just cannot turn on EA app normally. it always starts as empty window without any UI and I have to restart app or even whole computer. New errors pop up every day: Error EC 1000, something went wrong, app encountered an unknown error... this is beyond ridiculous.
